Our Trip to Arches National Park: A Photo Essay

In late August 2014 we went on a cross-country road trip that included a visit to one of our favorite places–Arches National Park in Utah. We’d been there at least three times before, the last being a few days after the second Hulk movie was released in theaters. I remember that clearly because a scene from that movie was filmed in Arches National Park, and when we went to see the movie in Moab, the town near Arches, everyone cheered when that scene came on the screen.
Anyway, this time our daughter was grown and she had fun hiking and climbing with us. She and I both took lots of photos. I haven’t seen her photos, but here are some of mine. I hope you like them.
The first one is not actually in the park, but was taken on the drive through a beautiful canyon near Moab, Utah–the gateway to Arches.

Thanks. I didn’t take many photos of the actual arches because we’d already seen them before–and it was really crowded there. We searched out the less crowded places.

Could Arches national park be the setting for a future plot? Glad you had a good time.

Thanks. Yes, I think it could be a setting for a future book. That would be fun. And I could visit again to get more details.
