I went outside a few minutes ago to check our mail box. It was empty. But on my way back to the house, I caught a glimpse of a hawk. Now, that’s not unusual in Missouri. I see them all around town, sometimes sitting on light posts and sometimes swooping down to catch their dinner. Once, I even saw one flying overhead with a snake dangling from its claws.
This hawk, though, was sitting on the fence between our house and the neighbor’s house. If you know me, you know what I did next–that’s right, I rushed into the house and grabbed my camera. I’m thrilled to have gotten some good close-ups of the hawk.
Looks like a peregrine falcon, Susan. Beautiful!
