Battle of Centralia Civil War Battle Re-enactment Photo Essay

Today, my husband and I went to a nearby town–Centralia, Missouri–to attend their ‘Re-enactment to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Centralia along with the Mount Zion Battle’. The event took place of the historic battlefield southeast of Centralia.
I took lots of photos and wanted to share them. The ‘Friends of Centralia Battlefield’ did a wonderful job of creating a replica of camps from that time period. The Civil War Re-enactors did a great job, too.
Next weekend, the Boone County Historical Society will hold their 37th Annual Heritage Festival. I’m looking forward to that, as well.

Good job, and that’s my bed at the bottom of this blog. Thanks for coming to the reenactment.

Thanks, Sheila! The reenactment was great. I posted a picture of the tent with the bed because it looked wonderful–so cozy.
